The activities of the first “Blue Pioneer” Summer Camp 2025, organized by the Regional Organization for the Protection of the Marine Environment (ROPME), have officially commenced. The two-week camp brings together secondary school students from ROPME Member States.

The camp program features a wide range of practical and educational activities, including environmental diving, marine life exploration, coral and fish cultivation, marine navigation through the use of nautical charts, and hands-on experiences in combating marine pollution.

Connecting ROPME member states
The “Blue Pioneer” Summer Camp coincides with the celebration of International Youth Day, observed annually on 12 August. Through this initiative, ROPME seeks to contribute to the development of an informed and environmentally conscious generation equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to lead positive change.
