The Organization reaffirms its commitment to enhancing environmental awareness among youth and engaging them in marine environmental protection efforts, training programs, and capacity-building initiatives.

The activities of the first “Blue Pioneer” Summer Camp 2025, organized by the Regional Organization for the Protection of the Marine Environment (ROPME), have officially commenced. The two-week camp brings together secondary school students from ROPME Member States.

Connecting ROPME member states

The “Blue Pioneer” Summer Camp coincides with the celebration of International Youth Day, observed annually on 12 August. Through this initiative, ROPME seeks to contribute to the development of an informed and environmentally conscious generation equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to lead positive change.

ROPME firmly believes in the vital role of young people in addressing current and future environmental challenges. The Organization also reiterates its commitment to raising environmental awareness among youth and actively involving them in marine environmental protection efforts, as well as in training and capacity-building programs.
