Title

Assessment of Coastal Water Quality in Eastern Gulf Shores

Abstract

This study presents water quality measurements taken over the past twelve months at multiple coastal stations. Key parameters such as dissolved oxygen, nutrient levels, and turbidity are examined. Results show improvement trends in certain locations but also identify hotspots where eutrophication remains a concern for marine life and public health.

  • Corals Climate Change Adaption

    to

This report explores how coral reef ecosystems are being affected by climate change and the strategies available to support their adaptation. Rising sea surface temperatures, ocean acidification, and more frequent extreme weather events threaten coral health, leading to bleaching, habitat loss, and declines in biodiversity.

  • Monitoring Marine Litter Trends in the ROPME Sea Area

    to

Explore the latest findings on marine litter distribution across the Gulf region. This report highlights plastic debris concentrations near major shipping lanes, seasonal patterns of accumulation, and priority zones for cleanup and policy action. The analysis includes graphical summaries that help stakeholders track progress toward reduction targets.

  • RSA Climate Change Risk Assessment

    to

This report presents an assessment of the potential risks posed by climate change to the Republic of South Africa (RSA). It examines projected climate trends, including rising temperatures, shifting rainfall patterns, extreme weather events, and sea-level rise, and evaluates their implications for key sectors such as water security, agriculture, energy, health, and infrastructure.
