The Regional Program for Integrated Coastal Zone Management (ICZM) promotes sustainable development of coastal areas across the ROPME Sea Area. It provides a coordinated framework for balancing environmental protection, economic growth, and community needs along fragile coastal ecosystems.

The program supports national action plans, stakeholder engagement, coastal habitat assessments, and resilience-building measures such as erosion control and land-use planning. It aims to harmonize efforts among member states to reduce pollution, protect biodiversity, and ensure the long-term health of coastal zones.
